My approach

How I work

A safe, supportive space to be yourself, explore what's going on, and find a way forward that feels right for you.

My approach

A collaborative, compassionate approach

I offer a non-judgemental space where you can talk about what's been happening, understand yourself a little better and work towards the changes you want. My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. It's also flexible, so I adapt how we work to suit you. You're the one leading our sessions, and I'm alongside you.

My core principles

Client-centred

You're the expert in your own life. I listen, value your experience and work with you to find what helps.

Trauma-informed

Sessions are gentle and predictable. Safety and choice come first, and you're never pushed to share more than you want to.

Neurodiversity-affirming

Different ways of thinking and being are respected here. I adapt how we work so it suits you.

Accessible and professional

Warm and down-to-earth, with clear boundaries and confidential, ethical practice.

2

First session

We'll take time to get to know each other, talk about what's brought you here and think about your goals.

3

Ongoing therapy

Together we explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that's comfortable for you.

4

Moving forward

When you feel ready, we'll look back at your progress, notice your strengths and think about what comes next.

Yes. What you share stays between us, with a small number of legal and safeguarding exceptions. I'll explain these clearly at the start.

We'll agree this together before we begin. It can depend on age and on what feels manageable for you.
